Moremarkets XRP Accounts: How the Designs Differed

MoreMarkets developed an XRP Earn design linking Ethereum lending to NEAR infrastructure and an XRP Flare Account using strategies within Flare. Their different strategy tokens and network roles explain how native XRP could remain on XRPL while yield activity took place elsewhere. Both accounts were included in the Earn wind-down.

The Earn wind-down notice specified 0% APY for both XRP accounts from December 8, 2025, and said the MoreMarkets app would accept no further deposits. It gave March 8, 2026 as the app withdrawal deadline and said smart contracts would remain operational afterward.

NEAR coordination and Ethereum lending

NEAR Chain Signatures

NEAR Intents
Converted yield from the Ethereum lending strategies back into native XRP for weekly payments.

Ethereum hosted the lending exposure in this design. NEAR supplied coordination and conversion infrastructure, so the use of NEAR technology did not place the lending position on NEAR. The XRP payment denomination described the output of yield conversion.

FXRP entry and the Flare roadmap

Flare’s August 26, 2025 integration announcement described FAssets minting a collateral-backed, 1:1 representation called FXRP on Flare while native XRP remained on XRPL. MoreMarkets would manage lending and Firelight liquid-staking strategies on Flare.

MoreMarkets’ phased XRP Flare Account description listed direct FXRP deposits as the initial supported entry path. An integrated FAssets minting interface appeared in a later phase of that roadmap. Acceptance of FXRP did not establish availability of XRP-to-FXRP minting inside the account interface.

Firelight tokens, points, and service fees

The August 2025 announcement described Firelight’s initial phase as deploying FXRP to receive a liquid staking token and Firelight Points. It placed vault deployments securing Economically Secured Services in exchange for fees at feature-complete launch. A liquid staking token balance or points allocation alone did not establish that those service fees had been earned.

The same XRP location, different strategy networks

Native XRP remaining on XRPL does not, by itself, identify the strategy network. In this hypothetical historical comparison, two MoreMarkets account notes both report that location. Note A also lists moreXRP deployed on Ethereum; note B lists FXRP in the XRP Flare Account on Flare.

Note A matches the Ethereum lending architecture, while note B matches the Flare architecture. This classification depends on the notes accurately identifying the account, token, and network. Neither a strategy-token entry nor the shared XRPL location establishes a completed XRP payout.
